IRVING, Texas - NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that the Company's Vice President Sales and Marketing, Pete Ring, has been elected to the Aircraft Electronic Association (AEA) Board of Directors to serve a term of three years. He will officially be seated at the spring board meeting in Las Vegas on March 25th.
Based in Irving, Texas, Ring leads all forward-facing efforts of FreeFlight Systems, including sales, marketing, programs, support, government affairs, and contracts. He is an active member of the AEA community, representing FreeFlight Systems at all AEA conventions and connect conferences. Ring also participated on the AEA's 2016 ad hoc committee on the Part 23 rewrite. He serves on the Tarrant County College Aviation Advisory Board and is affiliated with the Commemorative Air Force.
Ring is an accomplished pilot who holds both private and commercial/instrument certifications. He has more than 10 years of experience in the avionics manufacturing industry and is known by peers as an expert in NextGen technology implementation, and is commonly referred to as, "The ADS-B Expert." A respected thought leader in the field, Ring is a sought after public speaker for informational seminars and panel discussions.
