Hands-on Demonstrations of ClearVision™ EFVS with SkyLens™ HWD and InSight™ Display System Available
Tucson, Arizona - May 8, 2019 – Universal Avionics (UA) returns to Geneva, Switzerland this month for the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), May 21st – 23rd. The company’s exhibition will feature hands-on demonstrations of the ClearVision Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) with SkyLens Head-Wearable Display (HWD) and InSight Display System.
The ClearVision EFVS solution with SkyLens™ HWD is a cost-effective and more modern alternative to a traditional fixed Head-Up Display (HUD). The SkyLens high-transparency visor presents high-resolution symbology/imagery, including Enhanced Vision System (EVS), Synthetic Vision System (SVS), and Combined Vision System (CVS) for superior see-through transmission in all weather conditions, day and night.
The InSight system is designed as an integrated flight deck solution, featuring embedded SVS with advanced mapping capability, electronic charts, and radio control. As an integrated system, InSight retains the ability to interface with a large number of federated components such as attitude/heading sensors, air data computers, radars, traffic systems, radios, and autopilots. Integrated with the UA SBAS-Flight Management System (FMS) and UniLink™ UL-800/801 Communications Management Unit (CMU), InSight offers operators a path to meet future mandates and certifications such as PBN, SESAR, CPDLC, FANS 1/A+, and ATN B1. Throughout EBACE, UA representatives will be available to speak to attendees about the development of the SESAR Programme and available, certified solutions to equip.
EBACE attendees are invited to visit UA Booth Z34 to meet with a UA representative to learn more about the InSight Display System and/or ClearVision with SkyLens HWD and to demo the systems.
