Safran has launched at Helitech International a new Health Monitoring service for helicopter engines, with the announcement of its first customer, Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore Ltd. The new service will allow the customer to track engine life data and thus reduce unplanned events. Engine life can be improved with the early detection of low signals, prognosis analysis and maintenance plan customization.

The SWE-400 QUAD multi-sensor imaging system is a purpose-built system for the utility inspection market. It features a high resolution radiometric camera for accurate real-time fault temperature measurement, a colour HDTV zoom camera for visual inspection, a fully solar-blind UV Corona camera to detect corona discharge insulator faults and a Megapixel digital frame camera for high resolution fault reference capture. The system is also equipped with IMU/INS and LRF. AW169 helicopter success in UK EMS market continues with selection by the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust

Airtelis orders three H215s for aerial work

Boasting a clean-sheet touchscreen design and vibrant presentation, the TXi family incorporates greater situational awareness tools and an innovative feature set into a contemporary avionics platform. Three displays are available, offering optimal flexibility for panel configurations, including a large 10.6-inch display, and two versions of 7-inch displays, in portrait and landscape orientations. The 10.6-inch display can operate as a primary flight display (PFD), multi-function display (MFD) and optional integrated EIS in a highly customized package, while the 7-inch portrait display can be dedicated to any one of those functions. The 7-inch landscape display is available exclusively as a dedicated EIS solution. The G500 TXi system is intended for Part 23 Class I/II aircraft under 6,000 lbs. and the G600 TXi flight displays are intended for Class III aircraft that weigh up to 12,500 lbs.
