Japan Coast Guard expands Super Puma fleet with additional H225 order

Atlanta, 6 March 2019 – Japan’s largest Super Puma operator, Japan Coast Guard (JCG), has acquired an additional H225. With the new helicopter, JCG’s Super Puma fleet will include two AS332s and 11 H225s, for security enforcement, territorial coastal activities, and disaster relief missions in Japan.

Ukrainian Ministry of Interior takes delivery of its first H225s

Kiev, 21 December 2018 - Kick-starting the modernisation of Ukraine’s helicopter fleet, Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first two H225s, out of an order for 21 aircraft, to the Ukrainian Ministry of Interior. One aircraft is destined for search and rescue missions and the other one will be operated by the National Guard for law enforcement missions. The H225 helicopters were repurposed to suit these public service missions in just over three months. Another two H225s will join the fleet in the coming weeks.

Heli-One to Install Search and Rescue Cabin Configuration for H225s

October 17, 2018 - Heli-One, a leading provider of helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, will be installing Search and Rescue (SAR) cabin modifications for two Airbus H225s owned by Knut Axel Ugland Holding (KAUH). The modifications include a stretcher with base plate and a medical equipment wall. The aircraft will also be undergoing Return-to-Service maintenance and a variety of mission-related installations and upgrades. These upgrades were developed to enhance crew efficiency and flexibility; ultimately helping them achieve mission success.

Japan Coast Guard bolsters fleet with additional H225 order

Berlin, 25 April 2018 – Airbus Helicopters has secured an additional order of one H225 helicopter from the Japan Coast Guard (JCG), bringing JCG’s H225 fleet to ten units. JCG currently operates three AS332s and five H225s, both from the Super Puma family. With this new order, the customer’s Super Puma fleet will grow to 13 units by March 2021, becoming the largest Super Puma operator in Japan.
