Marignane – The Brazilian Navy has ordered three H135 light twinengine helicopters to be operated by the 1st General Purpose Helicopter Squadron (HU-1). The aircraft will be dedicated to a wide range of missions such as special operations, transport of troops and freight, naval inspection, search and rescue and medical evacuation. Two of these aircraft will be equipped with aeromedical kits. Other equipment will include a cargo hook, an emergency flotation system, a winch, as well as weather radar.

Vienna – Over the past few days, HeliAir technicians put the finishing touches on the first H135 Emergency Medical Helicopter’s upgrade from version T2+ to version T3. “For us, it’s a matter of course to constantly develop and advance our fleet, so we can provide our patients with comprehensive care of the highest possible level of quality and safety” declared Reinhard Kraxner, director of ÖAMTC’s air-rescue services. “An obvious component of that, beyond simply investing in new helicopters, is bringing our pre-existing fleet up to speed with the newest available technologies.”
