LEONARDO: HELIKOREA ORDERS THREE GRANDNEW HELICOPTERS FOR EMS

The GrandNew light twin helicopter expands in the Republic of Korea with the order of three units by HeliKorea for Emergency Medical Service. The order is a testament to the success of the type as the benchmark light twin EMS helicopter on the market. The first two helicopters will be delivered at the end of 2017 while the third will be added to the fleet in 2018. These aircraft will join two AW169s ordered by HeliKorea in 2016 for EMS missions. With these deliveries, the entirety of the EMS fleet in South Korea will consist of Leonardo helicopters as of January 2018.

Kagoshima International Aviation orders another GrandNew EMS Helicopter

Rome, – Leonardo-Finmeccanica announced today with its distributor Kaigai Corporation of Japan that Kagoshima International Aviation has placed an order for a second AgustaWestland GrandNew light twin engine helicopter to perform emergency medical service (EMS) missions in Kagoshima Prefecture. The aircraft is expected to enter service in the fall of 2016.

Airbus Helicopters kicks off new H145 demo tour in Asia

Marignane, France, Airbus Helicopters’ H145 is back in Asia to showcase its performance and capabilities through a series of demo flights in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan. The first H145 demo tour was held in Southeast Asia in 2013, covering Malaysia and Thailand. Since then, there has been an increasing interest in this rotorcraft, especially in the emergency medical services (EMS) and commercial/business aviation segments.
