StandardAero Achieves FAA Certification for New Bell 212 Glass Cockpit Upgrade in Collaboration with Alpine Aerotech and Universal Avionics

ATLANTA, Ga. – March 4, 2019 – StandardAero announced today the attainment of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification of a new glass cockpit upgrade for the Bell 212 helicopter, available for both VFR and IFR operations. The upgrade features proven Universal Avionics EFI-890H Advanced Flight Displays which can be integrated with legacy Honeywell and Bell autopilot systems. The first installation of this new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) was accomplished in cooperation with leading Bell Customer Service Facility, Alpine Aerotech, and their launch customer. This new glass cockpit solution is now also being made available to other Bell 212 operators seeking to economically update their aircraft.

Under the multi-year contract, StandardAero will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for PassionAir’s Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW150A turboprop engines from its Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in Seletar, Singapore.

StandardAero Awarded Option Year for U.S. Navy P-8A CFM56-7 Engine MRO Support Contract

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – StandardAero has been selected as the U.S. Navy's primary engine depot for support of the CFM56-7 engines used on the P-8A aircraft. This is the 2nd straight year StandardAero has been selected to perform this work, which is carried-out under a U.S. Federal government Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract that is competed and awarded each year among the U.S. Navy’s approved sources. The contract supports the U.S. Navy, the Government of Australia and other foreign military sales (FMS) customers.
