(Johnson City, Tenn.)  Branding Iron Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations Co-Owner Scott Emerine was named the Chairman of the Bristol TN/VA Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 2011 at the Chamber’s annual awards luncheon held January 26. 

“It is a tremendous honor to serve as the new Chairman,” said Emerine.  “I consider it a privilege to serve not only the members of the Chamber, but also the community.” 

The Bristol TN/VA Chamber of Commerce is a five-star accredited Chamber and has more than 700 members.  Bristol is known as the Birthplace of Country Music and for the Bristol Motor Speedway.  It also is home to numerous aviation companies.

“Bristol is thriving as a location for aviation.  This position not only allows me to aid businesses in our region but also support the growing aviation market of the Tri-Cities.”

Emerine is not the first Chairman with an aviation background.  He replaces Carolyn Ferrell, who not only served as the Chair of the Board for the chamber, but also as Chairman for 5 years of the Human Resources Committee for Helicopter Association International (HAI).   She has been in the aviation industry for 22 years and was previously an employee of Edwards & Associates, Inc.
 
"Scott hit the ground running in the Aviation world with his expertise in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations; he will be an asset to our local community as the 2011 Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Bristol Chamber of Commerce," said Ferrell.
