AMSTAT releases latest Business Aircraft Resale Market Update Report showing a robust start to the year in the Light and Medium Jet Resale Markets.

Tinton Falls, NJ – According to AMSTAT, both the Medium and Light Business Jet segments kicked off 2017 with two of the best first quarter resale retail transaction starts in these segments in the last 10 years. Medium Jet turnover was 2.6% in Q1, the second best start to a year for this segment, after 2.7% in Q1 2014, since 2.6% in Q1 2008. Light Jet turnover was 2.8%, the second best start to a year for this segment, after 2.9% in Q1 2013, since 3.0% in Q1 2008.

Mesa, Ariz., - MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) is proud to announce a new agreement with the Columbus Division of Police, Columbus, Ohio, to upgrade its two (2) remaining MD 500E helicopters. The two E models will be overhauled and re-certified as F-models (Type Certificate 369FF) with zero-time engines in a period of just a few weeks. The FAA-approved factory recertification takes place at MD Helicopters’ manufacturing facility & completions center in Mesa, Arizona.

FOR COCKPIT VOICE AND FLIGHT RECORDER SYSTEM TO UPGRADE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES’ CH-146 FLEET

ASHBURN, Va. – April 27, 2017 -- Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division today announced that it was selected by Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited to provide its cockpit voice and flight recorder technology to upgrade the cockpit electronics in the Canadian Armed Forces’ fleet of Bell CH-146 Griffon multi-role utility helicopters. Under the agreement, Curtiss-Wright will provide Bell Helicopter Textron Canada with a cockpit voice and flight recorder subsystem, comprising its Fortress 757 Flight Recorder and a Cockpit Area Microphone. The initial contract, which began in mid-2016, runs through to mid-2018 and is valued at $1.88 million. Shipments begin in May 2017.
