MOUNTAIN CITY, TN, MARCH 30, 2012. In an effort to keep our pilots flying at night, Nightline has launched their new night vision goggle loaner program. Nightline Aviator’s goggles are available for use while customer’s goggles are undergoing their required 180 day checks. Nightline, Inc., a US Small Business Administration HUBZone certified, veteran-owned defense company, and a global supplier of Generation III Night Vision Equipment, is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Repair Station (Certificate #8NLR650B), in accordance with Part 145 regulations.
During the required 180 day check, goggles are evaluated, calibrated, collimated, leak tested and nitrogen purged. A system gain test is performed. As system gain performance will decrease over time, these checks are crucial to ensure proper function of the equipment while in flight.
Organizations can often be forced to fly without a full complement of night vision goggles while their goggles are undergoing their preventative maintenance checks and services. Nightline has created their equipment loaner program to ensure that organizations always have a full complement of goggles during night operations.
