Delivery of fourth Massachusetts State Police EC135 highlights Airbus Helicopters leadership in light twins for law enforcement

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Airbus Helicopters Inc. (AHI) has delivered a fourth EC135T2+ twin engine helicopter to the Massachusetts State Police, further demonstrating the company’s strong leadership position in the U.S. law enforcement helicopter market for both single engine and twine engine aircraft.

Massachusetts State Police selected the EC135 in 2009 as the replacement aircraft for their existing fleet of Airbus Helicopters AS355s. Deployment of the four EC135’s significantly increases the capabilities of the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing by providing the agency with highly versatile helicopters equipped with advanced thermal imaging, searchlights, moving maps and downlink technology in an IFR platform.

Airbus Helicopters’ EC175 full-flight simulator is ready for service

Marignane– The first Level D full-flight simulator for Airbus Helicopters’ EC175 rotorcraft has received airworthiness certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), enabling launch pilots to be trained with this high-fidelity system.

Shreveport, Louisiana – Metro Aviation recently completed and delivered a new EC145 for Boston MedFlight, a critical care transport service in New England. This is the second EC145 that Metro has completed for Boston MedFlight.
