Bell Delivers Montenegro Air Force’s First Bell 505

The technical acceptance occurred in July at Bell Prague. The delivery happened today in Montenegro and was accepted by Montenegro Air Force’s Minister of Defence, Predrag Bošković. The second aircraft is expected to be delivered January 2021.

Bell Autonomous Pod Transport Completes Beyond Visual Line of Sight Flight

In the race to provide viable, aerial solutions to move goods and information, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT) surpassed a significant step in this journey: beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flight. Delivering goods and information to critical – sometimes inaccessible – locations calls for an aircraft that can fly autonomously, over long distances and land vertically. At the beginning of the year, Bell’s APT proved that it can handle this type of flight through its first BVLOS flight carrying 60lbs of payload at a testing site in Oklahoma.

Bell 429 Used to Transport Pregnant Patient in Yucatán, Mexico

Montenegro Air Force Signs Purchase Agreement for Two Bell 505s

These new aircraft will be used to train the Montenegrin military pilots. Bell Boeing MV-22 Saves Airman’s Life in Operation Odyssey Dawn

In March 2011, in partnership with various national military units, the U.S. Armed forces embarked on Operation Odyssey Dawn – a joint international operation in Libya. On the third day, a U.S. Air Force fighter jet pilot, Maj. Kenneth Harney, was forced to eject out of his failing aircraft, landing in hostile territory. A fast rescue was imperative to continue the operation, avoid any strategic setbacks and save the Airman’s life. Because of the time constraints and gravity of the situation, the fastest aircraft – the Bell Boeing MV-22 Osprey – was selected for deployment.
